Hello My Friend Emily – It’s not the “Work Ethic” that’s bad – It’s being industrious for Someone Else – what’s even worse is working for someone else who requires that your ideas, if manifested into a product (intellectual property) belongs to “the company” – if you are toiling “for the man”, take those ideas HOME and manifest them when you do start working for yourself

Hi Emily,
Really rocks the boat when it comes to looking at things overall in the workplace!
Cheers!

Hey Emily,
Nice video! I can see your point… I feel the same way!
Our society is told to do is follow order after order & end up working their whole life, and the big issue is that the majority of people work 30, 40, 50 years doing something they don’t even enjoy just to make enough money to survive.
Let’s change that!

Great Video Emily! It is so true! I still get asked why don’t I get a 9-5 job and call it a day! Definitely not! There are more things to life then slaving away all day!

Yes there is Amber!
I know so many people who, when I ask them \”how are you doing?\” they answer, \”oh I\’m staying busy\” as if people don\’t know how else to live but be a slave and never take time out to \”smell the roses.\”

Hi Emily,
Thank you for making this video! I just started my own business and I think I needed to hear all you said about “normal” just one more time. Thanks for the push!
Take care,
Monyelle

Good for you Monyelle!
I\’m so glad this video helped you! Congratulations on your business and for going outside the box!
Remember, to ask people what normal is when they give you a hard time

Hi Emily,
Fun video! I couldn’t agree with you more about people saying “just get a 9-5 job”. Why would I want to do that? Because it’s traditional?
I love stepping out of the box, and more people should to see what’s out there and that they really can do what they want.

Hi Erika!
I know what you\’re saying! So many good people are realizing that the farthest place from their dreams is their \”normal\” jobs.

Emily I love your video. I was always proud of my good work ethic until a mentor of mine told me “work ethic is a way of enslaving the small poppy and is a distraction from wealth creation”. That got my attention.
This is my first visit to your blog but it will not be the last.

Hello Sue! I\’m so glad to have you on my blog
I had a good work ethic as well. So many good people are looking for meaning in their lives but have a misplaced loyalty to their jobs. WHO was your mentor? Whoever they are, I LOVE what they told you!

Emily,
Love this video – you are adorable!!! Great message and I love how your personality comes shining through.

Thank you Holli
I hope people will look at it with humor and realize that there is more to life then the \”job\” and that it is not selfish to invest in yourself, your family, and the important things in life.
